 Three easy steps to choosing your wedding photographer
Choosing a wedding photographer is a very personal choice. No one photographer is suited to every couple and there are countless factors that may influence your decision making. But these three steps will make it much easier and ultimately you will be much happier with your choice of photographer and your wedding photo's.
1. Hire for Style
It's easy to get caught up with prices and packages ......... with one photographer including prints or enlargements and another who includes albums and so on. Do yourself a favour and choose a photographer whose work you LOVE !! That should be your main focus firstly. And if you have no idea and you think that all wedding images are the same, really sit down and take time to look at each photo like it's a piece of art. Is there emotion in the photo ?, Is the lighting flattering ?, Is it a magical moment frozen in time ?, Is it dramatic ?, Does it make you go WOW ! ?. You should be drawn to the photographs that you like.
2. Personality
You will spend your whole wedding day with your photographers, so make sure you like them. It's pretty simple, it's no use spending a heap of time with someone who you don't get along with. And if you are not enjoying the day, or your photographers, it will show in the images that you get.
3. Price
Price is an important factor, but it should definitely be lower on your list. It's no use getting a cheap photographer and then hating all your wedding photo's, or getting your Uncle to shoot the wedding and then wishing that you had hired a professional when you see the results. Many people don't realise how important wedding photography is till after the wedding. The dress is packed away in a box, the cake is eaten, the wine has been drunk, the flowers have died ........... the only thing you have to remember your awesome wedding day and to show your friends and family is your wedding photo's.
